To enhance member’s knowledge of investing in financial instruments the club will run a competition on fantasy trading website, www.bullbearings.co.uk.
There has been a league set up under the name ‘DUIC League 2009/2010’. For the password to join this league please contact a member of the management team .
There will be two competitions run over the whole academic year, one in semester 1 and the second in semester 2. The period of the competition shall be announced in due course; the winner will be the one who achieves the highest return over this period.
It is recommended to sign up to this website as soon as possible to have a practice before the competition begins (please note all portfolio’s should be reset on the start date of the competition). There are four portfolio types on the website, the competition shall be based on the stock portfolio only, where only long positions can be taken. The winner of each competition will be presented a certificate at one of the meetings.
